Fantastic food all the frills but none of the fuss is the ethos behind our Spiced Pear Restaurant, where you can relax into the comfy armchairs in our elegant dining room – and spy on the brigade in our smart open-plan kitchen – while indulging in our delicious menu using Artisan producers. Our stylish a la carte menu has been carefully put together by our award-winning chef Timothy Bilton, who has made a name for himself with his simple but sumptuous, seasonal food.
Remember the days when you could get a proper afternoon tea – plump sultana-pitted scones, oozing with Yorkshire clotted cream and sweet strawberry jam? At The Spiced Pear, our very special Afternoon Teas come with homemade scones, sandwiches, cakes and all the trimmings, alongside a good choice of warming teas and coffees (or a breakfast margarita if you’re in a celebratory mood!). Relax in front of our lovely open fire in our unique vintage tearoom – with its retro bric-a-brac and recipe wallpaper – or take tea on our balcony terrace, where the stunning views are free!
The Spiced Pear Bar is smart and stylish without the stuffiness, whether for an after-work pint or a glass of champagne with the girls – and you can pop in even if you’re not eating. As you’d expect there’s a great choice of local real ales and an extensive wine list, but you can also mix it up with our signature cocktails – sugared and Spiced and all things nice – while you’re soothed by live music from our baby grand piano.
